Deep in the woods, yet only 16 miles from downtown Grand Marais, Trout Lake Resort offers lakeside and hilltop cabins on a pristine lake ready for your vacation.

The lake is filled with eager rainbow, lake and speckled trout waiting to be caught. No special fishing equipment is needed, but fly-fishing is a favorite for some of our guests. We have complete boat, motor and canoe rentals. When you reserve a cabin for a week, you have the use of a boat for no additional charge.

Each of our 7 housekeeping cabins is unique and comfortable with a kitchen and bathroom. Each has a deck or a porch and a charcoal Weber grill. Cabin 7 is wheelchair accessible. They all have a real Northwoods feel. Drift off to sleep in Cabin 1 and hear the gentle running of the Kadunce River outside your cabin, or wake up in Cabin 6 and gaze out the picture window at our family of loons playing on the lake.

Kids love it at Trout Lake Resort and so do pets. There is swimming around the dock or on the sand bar at the east end of the lake. We have a recreation area for playing and for gathering around the campfire to tell stories. We also have a sauna for your relaxation.
